Website Development for Renting Apartments in Spain
About the project
We were approached by a client who offers to rent private apartments in the city of Torrevieja, located in the southern part of Spain. The city is known for its Mediterranean climate and sandy coastline lined with hotels — Liijee Homes apartments are located in one of these picturesque places.
The objective
Our task for this project was to create a presentable business card website, where potential clients could get acquainted with the information about the apartments and contact the tenant. The main purpose of the future site is the presentation, and the rental of objects itself takes place on special local sites or by contacting the tenant by e-mail.
Solution
Like in the province of Alicante, tourists are greeted by Spanish Torrevieja with well-groomed beaches and blue flags, the same way the ready-made site hospitably welcomes visitors. High-quality HDR photos, videos accompanied by pleasant music in high resolution, and more — we got a friendly atmosphere, conducive to getting to know the apartment.
Multilingualism
Multilingualism was important to the client, and we first tried to solve this issue using Google translation, but the results of machine translation were not accurate enough. Therefore, we have implemented full-fledged multilingualism with manual translation of all text content into the following languages: English, German, Russian and Spanish.
Note! Those phrases that are not translated are drawn by the designer, while the rest of the text is fully translated to the letter.
WEB-cameras
We have added live video output from webcams to the main page of the site. The cameras show the same view that visitors to the apartments will see. The maximum quality in which you can view video from cameras is 1080P HD. There is also a high quality video “Torrevieja: a small paradise between the sea and the salty lagoons”, which also helps to decide if the location of the apartments in a particular region suits you.
Apartment pages
On the pages with apartments you can find the most important information for visitors:
- photos of the apartments inside, outside and view from the terrace/balcony;
- maximum number of guests;
- number of bedrooms, beds and baths;
- list of amenities;
- bedroom descriptions.
Also, under each description of the apartments there is a «Contact» button, by clicking on which you can contact the owners of the property.
Color range
The beaches of Torrevieja have been awarded the International Blue Flag Award by the Fundación de Educación Ambiental, which is why it is the sky-colored banners that greet travelers in this city. We took this color as the basis of the site, and also added a contrasting orange. The designers left the background white — an association with the air, the crests of the sea wave and the snow-white wing of airliners that fly here daily with tourists.
UI-design
We paid due attention to UI design, thinking through every detail after analyzing similar competitor sites. All important information is contained in concise icons, a readable font is selected and quite noticeable bright buttons are designed.
Logo
The Liijee Homes logo is also our design. It clearly shows the theme of the site, and in the text version of the logo we also see 3 small houses, which reflect the number of apartments for rent. Of course, the logo is made in the colors of the site.
Animations
We used subtle and unobtrusive animations that enhance the user experience of the site, and in general are a proven practice for customizing pages and improving usability.
Software part
As a CMS, we chose WordPress, because this engine has a lot of advantages. This is a friendly interface, a quick start, adaptive layout, SEO-oriented, and ease of content management. Also, WordPress is free, and this significantly reduces the budget of clients, which is especially convenient for small private real estate agencies and beyond.
Summary
We have done a good job of getting an easy and fast site for renting apartments, convenient for potential clients. The result was a multilingual business card site with all the necessary information about the apartments, as well as a brief information about the city itself.
